2006 Dec 14 Blitz Games Studios co-founder and CEO Philip Oliver today celebrated winning the ‘Best Industry Player’ Award at the annual The Independent Game Developers Association (TIGA) Awards event held in London last night.

This accolade follows Blitz Games Studios winning the ‘Special Achievement’ in the West Midlands Employer of the Year Award and last year’s TIGA Award for ‘Most Outstanding Contribution’ in 2005.

Philip Oliver, CEO of Blitz Games Studios commented, “I am delighted and honoured to have won this year's Best Player Award, particularly as it is voted for by my competitors and peers in the industry. However, running a successful video game company isn't a one-man job and I'd like to thank everyone at Blitz for their continued hard work and enthusiasm."
