2004 Nov 10 Co-founders of Blitz Games, Philip and Andrew Oliver, were honoured by their former school this week when a new building was named after them. The Clarendon School in Trowbridge, Wiltshire named the Oliver Building after Blitz’s directors at a champagne reception on Monday 8th November 2004.

The new building, which is planned for the teaching of English, Humanities and Languages, has been built over the last year and was opened for students at the start of this term. Philip and Andrew formally opened it at the reception on Monday and were introduced by the school’s headmaster Colin Kay and their former IT teacher Terry Hall.

Philip and Andrew have continued to support their old school since leaving in 1986 and have given a number of careers lectures to the students, donated PC equipment and also launched their Blitz Challenge for Creative Thinking earlier this year which was a huge success. Philip Oliver: “We are both hugely honoured by Clarendon’s gesture. We feel it is important to continue to encourage each generation of students and we will continue to do so.”
