2007 Mar 31 SpongeBob Squarepants: Creature from the Krusty Krab, developed by Blitz Games - one of Europe’s leading independent developers, has won the Favourite Video Game Award at the Kids’ Choice Awards 2007.

The game fended off stiff competition from fellow nominees Madden NFL 07, Mario Kart and New Super Mario Bros to win the award. The award is particularly significant because it is currently the only event in the US which gives kids the power to vote for their favourites in 16 different categories. A huge 40 million votes were cast by US kids over all categories this year.

Blitz Games Studios has enjoyed a very successful year, particularly in North America, where its Burger King/Xbox 360, SpongeBob Squarepants, Bratz and Karaoke Revolution: American Idol games have been critical and commercial successes.
