Blitz Games get Serious
2005 Jun 10 Blitz Games, one of Europe's largest independent game development studios today announced the formation of a new serious games division dedicated to producing highly accurate simulations for training purposes.
The new division, TruSim, is to be headed by Richard Smithies, an experienced high technology investment banker and corporate finance advisor. TruSim aims to address the growing market for sophisticated and accurate training simulations and visualisation tools for the military, healthcare, corporate and education markets.
Richard Smithies, commented, 'This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for us with initial feedback being overwhelmingly positive. In true Blitz style, we are approaching this market with the professionalism it deserves - the level of detail and research required is tremendous - and are forming partnerships and working relationships with a select number of highly regarded companies and experts in order to ensure our products are both technically and creatively excellent.'

TruSim is currently working on several training simulations, which are expected to be announced in the near future.
