2007 Jul 26 Blitz Games Studios has been awarded the Develop Industry Excellence Award for Business Development at the annual Develop trade magazine awards ceremony in Brighton, after being nominated for awards in two categories.

Chief Technical Officer, Andrew Oliver, was there to collect the award, which is voted for by industry peers. The award was in recognition of Blitz’s growth, success and diversification into new fields in 2006, during which time they launched 3 new divisions and saw their headcount exceed 200 for the first time.

Blitz Games Studios has enjoyed a very successful year, particularly in North America, where its Burger King/Xbox 360, SpongeBob Squarepants, Bratz and Karaoke Revolution: American Idol games have been critical and commercial successes.
