Blitz Games Studios sells The Virtual Experience Company back to its founder
2008 May 06 Blitz Games Studios has agreed to sell The Virtual Experience Company (VEC) back to its original founder. Mike Gogan founded VEC nine years ago and it became part of Blitz Games Studios at the end of 2006.
In order to explore more fully the broader, often different technologies favoured by the cultural heritage sector, Blitz has agreed to allow Gogan to buy back the business with effect from 1st June 2008 to enable the business to focus on its expanding market.
Mike Gogan commented, "Being part of Blitz Games Studios has been a great experience and has allowed VEC to gain from the company's cutting edge technology and expertise in gaming. Whilst VEC will now be independent of Blitz, there will still be close ties between the two companies."
Philip Oliver, CEO of Blitz Games Studios added, "Mike is a well respected leader in his field and we wish Mike and The Virtual Experience Company all the best for the future."
Blitz Games Studios Ltd will be transferring all IP, assets and other material relating to Virtual Experience Company projects. These will become the property of Warwick Multimedia Ltd, t/a The Virtual Experience Company.
