To be able to drive forward the artistic vision of a game today is a rare gift indeed... it requires skill, talent, confidence and above all, a passion for making something truly immersive.
Blitz Games Studios, one of today's leading independent game developers, is looking for that person... the artistic vision holder, the luminary that will make our next AAA game on Xbox 360 and PS3 stand out on the shelf -
So... is that you?
You will lead a team of highly creative animators to help create some of the most memorable and spectacular animations for our games and also be involved company wide in regards to training future animators thorough the unique Blitz Academy.
Delivering memorable and highly polished hand keyed animation and also having an understanding of other techniques such as motion capture, scripting and facial capture would also be advantageous.
It is the role of the Animator to bring the game to life by applying dynamic and captivating movement to both it's characters and worlds.
The Environment Artist is responsible for building the worlds that the player should be immersed within and is a vision holder for the area of the game that they create. They need solid experience of the art pipeline as they are responsible for delivering complex scenes from content creation through to target hardware. They also need a strong understanding of architectural and structural design, set piece environment and/or prop animation, lighting, structural composition and an appreciation of game level design.
Explosions, particles, severe weather and full screen effects are an essential part of unifying a project's artistic vision and ensuring that we add all the polish and excitement that we need in our games.
The visual effects artist is primarily concerned with the pre-visualisation, creation, implementation and optimisation of visual effects assets into the game. These effects include, but are not limited to, particle, geometry, full screen, rendered and shader effects.
Working exclusively with a game team, you will be responsible for creating these innovative and stunning effects, liaising with other artists and programmers whilst working with our in-house technology to ensure that our titles stay at the cutting edge.
The graphics, typography and interface design in games today can lift a product to be a slick and exciting experience for the player. In some of our games, navigating through the menu system is an important and fun part of the game itself.
To do this, we need the freshest, most distinctive graphic design out there.
If you're the next hottest thing in graphic design and you want to work in the coolest industry in the world, Blitz Games Studios wants to talk to you.
Technical artists are the vital link between artists and programmers. They must possess a good grounding in both artistic and technical skills and have a full understanding and awareness of art development process and pipelines.
They are responsible for the evaluation, development, communication and support of the art creation and delivery pipelines of the project they are on.
Imagine strange vistas and beautiful alien planets, fluid movement and dynamic combat, weird critters and cute creatures, action heroes and butt ugly monsters - Now, visualise them!
Working primarily in project acquisition and the pre-production phase of new projects, the Concept Visualiser is responsible for creating digital illustrations and concepts in a multitude of styles, to an extremely high standard. Working with the Creative Producer, they play a vital role in shaping an artistic vision for future games in the studio.
