Since the company’s inception, the founders of Blitz have been keen to promote games development as a career. Games development offers a wide range of rewarding career opportunities to talented people. Details of how to get into games can be found at our GameON website.

Blitz works closely with skills councils such as Skillset (www.skillset.org/games) and educational institutions to ensure that students are suitably equipped with the right skills for a career in games. We have a member of staff dedicated full-time to liaising and engaging with the education and skills sector because we consider this to be so important.

Talks at Universities, Colleges and Schools:

Blitz staff are regularly invited to speak to students by universities and colleges running relevant degree courses. We also offer work placements to students (min. 8 months). Local schools also benefit from careers talks by Blitz staff.

Open Days:

Unique in the industry, since 2006 the company has opened its doors every spring to students and lecturers for a series of Open Days. This gives students an amazing insight into the industry and the chance to have a rare look at a top independent development studio.
