2013

Macworld Awards 2013 - Winner

In their 18th year, the Macworld Awards recognises the best software and hardware available in the Apple community. Kumo Lumo universally impressed judges with its unique gameplay and visual flair, leading it to be named the Macworld iOS Game of the Year.

2012

TIGA Games Industry Awards - Person of the Year

In its inaugural year, Philip Oliver, CEO and co-founder of Blitz Games Studios, was presented the TIGA Person of the Year Award for his significant and wide-ranging contribution to the UK games industry.

AEAF Awards

Developed in association with Framestore and Wieden + Kennedy, the Coca-Cola Polar Bowl won the Web / Viral award at the 2012 Australian Effects & Animation Festival.

Cannes Lions

In recognition of the highly successful and technologically innovative campaign, developed in association with Framestore and Wieden + Kennedy, the Coca-Cola Polar Bowl was honoured with five awards at the 2012 Cannes Lions, the premier advertising industry festival.

Develop Industry Excellence Award – Best Independent Studio

Blitz Games Studios is proud to be nominated for the first time in the Best Independent Studio category.

2011

Develop Industry Excellence Award – Business Development

Blitz Games Studios nominated for the fourth time in five years in the Business Development category.

Develop Industry Excellence Award – Best Engine Finalist

A second consecutive Finalist nomination for proprietary, licensable middleware BlitzTech in the Best Game Engine category.

2010

Develop Industry Excellence Award – Business Development

A nomination in the Business Development category for Blitz Games Studios’ Indie game initiative Blitz 1UP, which is an outlet for small, independent teams to bring their titles - finished and unfinished - to market on XBLA, PSN, PC, WiiWare, iPhone Flash and Mac.

2009

Develop Industry Excellence Award - Best Engine Finalist

Blitz Games Studios nominated for its BlitzTech industry-leading cross platform game engine, which is licensed to selected partners.

Develop Industry Excellence Award - Business Development Finalist

Blitz Games Studios nominated for its transition into becoming a middleware provider.

2008

Develop Industry Excellence Award - Games:Edu New Talent Award Finalist

Blitz Games Studios was nominated for this award recognizing our commitment to working with the Education sector for the future generation of developers.

2007

Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2007 - Favourite Videogame

SpongeBob Squarepants Creature from the Krusty Krab, developed by Blitz Games, won 'Favourite Videogame' in a poll of more than 40 million kids at the 20th annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.

ICT Excellence in Skills

Blitz Games won the West Midlands ICT Excellence in Skills Award in recognition of its great work in creating the Blitz Academy, the company's internal personal development and skills sharing initiative.

Edge award

Blitz was the regional winner of the Edge Awards 2007, winning a prize for further investment into training and development of young people.

Develop Industry Excellence Award - Business Development

Blitz picked up its first ever Develop Industry Excellence Award, in the Business Development category, the first year Blitz have been nominated for these prestigious industry awards.

Cannes Lions - Titanium Grand Prix

BK's advertising agency Crispin, Porter & Bogusky picked up yet another award for the BK Games campaign - Titanium Grand Prix Award at the Cannes International Advertising Festival.

Gold Clio Award

Crispin, Porter & Bogusky, the Miami-based advertising agency, collected a prestigious Gold Clio Award for the Burger King Xbox Games campaign developed by Blitz Games.

2006

TIGA Industry Player of the Year

Blitz Games' co-founder and CEO Philip Oliver won the 'Best Industry Player' Award at the annual TIGA Awards. This is given each year to the TIGA member who is felt to have made the biggest individual contribution to the industry in the past year. It's voted for by the other members within the UK making this a significant award to have won.

Employer of Choice Award

The Employer of Choice Award for the Warwickshire area went to Blitz Games for all of their work that goes into creating a fun, creative and friendly working environment.

2005

TIGA Greatest Contribution to Games Development 2005

The Award is held in high regard within the game development community and clearly demonstrates a level of respect for the contributions made by Blitz Games since its formation 15 years ago.

2004

Application of Technology Award

Winners of the inaugural Application of Technology Award at this year's Birmingham Screen Festival. The Award celebrates innovative and creative application of technology in the screen media and was given to Blitz for their rendering technology created for The Fairly OddParents.

2003

TIGA Developer of the Year

Announced as Developer of the Year for 2003 at the annual TIGA Awards. The results were compiled by the developer trade body from votes by the TIGA members.
